Getting started

Add a Patchr Studio catalog to Configuration Manager

Every Patchr Studio catalog is delivered as a signed CAB you subscribe to under Third-Party Software Update Catalogs. The steps below apply to Standard Catalog and both Private Catalog URLs.

1. Add third-party update catalog subscription

In the Configuration Manager console, open Software Library > Software Updates > Third-Party Software Update Catalogs. Choose Add Custom Catalog and paste the subscription URL from your Patchr Studio customer portal.

2. Approve the catalog certificate

SCCM will prompt you to approve the catalog's signing certificate. Verify the thumbprint against the one shown in your customer portal, then approve. The certificate is used to validate every future catalog CAB.

3. Sync the catalog

Right-click the Patchr Studio catalog and choose Sync. The Software Update Point downloads the signed CAB, verifies it, and imports the update metadata. Sync progress is visible in SMS_ISVUPDATES_SYNCAGENT.log.

4. Publish selected updates

Browse imported updates under All Updates. Select the versions you want to deploy and choose Publish Third-Party Software Update Content. WSUS ingests the installers and makes them deployable.

5. Deploy updates to clients

Create or update a Software Update Group with the published updates, then create a deployment targeting your device collections. Deployments run through the standard SCCM software updates channel, with no client-side changes required.
